To enable +48V Phantom Power :
- Press SETUP
- Change input to CONDENSER MIC
- Choose either MP-75 or e835FX
1.7 Set/Auto Mic Gain[edit | edit source]
The easiest way to set the input levels for your microphone and guitar is to:
- PRESS & HOLD the SETUP button
- Follow the on screen instructions

- Compression
- De-Ess and
- Noise Gate
Note - The VL3X will be "hotter" than a typical mic. Reduce input level and increase as/if needed.
1.9 Global Guitar[edit | edit source]
If you have a nice effects setup for your acoustic guitar that you want to use for all your songs:
- press SETUP
- go to the SYSTEM tab
- set ALL GUITAR FX GLOBAL to ON.
This will “lock” the guitar effects so they won’t change when you switch presets.
1.10 Tuner[edit | edit source]
Simultaneously Press both UP an DN preset buttons
1.11 Tap Tempo[edit | edit source]
- Press and HOLD the DELAY Footswitch
- Tap the Delay switch in time with your music
- STOP tapping when when finished
1.12 The HIT Button[edit | edit source]
HIT allows you to add (or remove) multiple effects for both your vocals and/ or guitar with a single button press. It can be used as a flexible “A/B” feature for two variations of a preset, or as a “turbo”. E.g., HIT allows you to bring in Harmony at just the right time, or you can use it to turn off the Delay and activate the Vocoder in the bridge of a song.
